April Fools Winner

My 2005 favorite April Fools joke came from Dave Winer on his big mistakes with RSS.

I'll tell you why I like Dave Winer ... and obviously it doesn't matter what I say since practically no one reads my blog and Dave can speak for himself -- and I don't know him, never met him.  I like Dave because:

  • he is passionate about what he writes and does
  • he has a keen sense of that invisible border between good design and over-complexity
  • he is always ready to debate the merits while avoiding personal attacks
  • he's not a lemming
  • he keeps on keeping on

I'm working on new stuff that I hope to launch in the not so distant future, and without the path Dave helped pave (along with some others) I wouldn't be doing it.   Thanks Dave, take a bow.
